Stranded Conductor Vs Solid Conductor?
Stranded Conductor Vs Solid Conductor?
Ethernet network cables like “cat5, cat6 etc…” come in stranded conductor and solid conductor formats.
A solid conductor cable uses one solid wire per conductor, meaning, in 4-pair roll, there would be a total of 8 solid wires.
A stranded conductor cables have a few small copper wires that are twisted together to form a single conductor.
These design differences are what make these two different types of cables work better in different environments.
