RFID Technology
RFID technology is widely used in access control systems, particularly for door entry systems in workplaces. RFID-enabled tags serve as identification badges for employees, allowing them to gain
entry to the building.
The door readers also utilize RFID technology. Each reader is equipped with a small antenna that emits radio waves to detect any RFID tag or card within its range. The range of the reader can vary depending on the frequency of the radio waves emitted, typically between 10 centimeters to one meter. The RFID reader decodes the unique information stored on the RFID badge, and sends the signal to the host software, which then grants or denies access to the user. This efficient and secure method of access control ensures that only authorized personnel are able to enter the building.
