RAID Overview
RAID (Redundant Array of Independent Disks) is a storage setup that merges multiple drives into one logical unit, boosting data redundancy, performance, or both. Each RAID level strikes a different balance between speed, fault tolerance, and storage capacity, so you can pick what fits your needs best
Here’s a brief overview of common RAID levels:
RAID 0: no redundancy, space of n
RAID 1: redundancy of 1 disk, space of n/2
RAID 5: redundancy of 1 disk, space of n-1
RAID 6: redundancy of 2 disks, space of n-2
RAID 10: redundancy of 1 disk per volume, space of n/2
