Why do we need Ground, Earth, and Neutral-aren’t they all the same?

1. Ground (GND) Purpose: A reference point for voltages in a circuit. Carries Current? ldeally, no. Usage: Common in PCBS, signal integrity, and power return paths.

2. Earth (PE- Protective Earth) Purpose: Provides a safety path for fault currents. Carries Current? Only during faults. Connected to Earth? Yes. Usage: Used in electrical installations to prevent electric shocks.

3.Neutral (N) Purpose: Provides a return path for AC current. Carries Current? Yes, under normal operation. Connected to Earth? Yes, at the main distribution board. Usage: Part of the power distribution system.
