PoE injector Vs PoE splitter?
PoE injector Vs PoE splitter?
Power over Ethernet (PoE) allows an Ethernet cable to carry DC power as well as data signals to attached devices.
POE Device Types:
– Power Source equipment (PSE) supplies power to end devices “ex: switches”.
– Powered Devices (PD) – These consume power provided by PSE.
1- PoE injector is a device which inject power to Ethernet cable when the switch is non-PoE compliant to power PoE compliant device.
2- POE splitter also supplies power, but it split the power from the data and feed a separate input for non-PoE compliant device.
