Application : SDH and WDM systems

Feature : The zero dispersion point is 1550 nm, but the non-linear effect such as four-wave mixing is severe.

Application : Not recommended

Feature : Minimum attenuation at 1550 nm, especially for high-bandwidth and long-distance transmission

Application : Submarine cable system

G.655 :

Feature : The zero dispersion point is shifted to around 1550 nm instead of to 1550 nm, which eliminates the four-wave mixing.

Application : Both SDH and WDM systems are available, and the WDM system is more suitable.

Application : FTTH drop fiber, WDM-side optical module straight-out
